You can find countless Elvis soundalikes, there are less of them for Johnny Cash but you can count bands playing both Elvis & Cash on the fingers of one hand and The Blue Suede Crew also plays tribute to Howlin' Wolf, which also isn't that usual. Including....the band has two albums under its belt, including this one recorded at Sun Studio with legendary James Lott. They didn't look, like so many others, for a physical likeness to the artists, the voices are enough. Scott can sound like a juvenile Elvis on Sun as well as a more mature one on RCA or the bel canto Las Vegas Elvis. On the cd, you will find Sun tracks and others from later periods. On some, Lott has recreated the famous sun echo, without exaggeration and for others the arrangements are more big band type with a horn section. For the Cash tracks, they are sealed with that 706 Union Avenue boom-chickaboom sound. - Bernard Boyat

We traveled to the truly magical land of Sun Studios in Memphis, TN, the birthplace of Rock n Roll to record our "Sun Sessions" cd. Be sure to check out the audio section of this EPK to hear a few songs from that experience.

The Blue Suede Crew is embraced by audiences, young and old, who sing along with every word. We have performed in Las Vegas, opened for comedian Yakov Smirnoff at the Rosebud Theatre, Three Dog Night at the Corvette Fun Fest & Asleep at the Wheel in Herrin. We've entertained VIP's at President Casino in St. Louis, the Sears Tower, Eastern Illinois University and entertained the troops at Camp Atterbury in Indiana.
