A duo formed by destiny, MC's 'T.O' & 'JOKA' of .KOM are more then just 2 young men trying to be famous & make money. Theses two creatives posses voices of a seemingly unrepresented generation of conscious young men trying to find themselves in the world & not to mention two separate yet coherent stories that they are fighting to share with the world. The hip-hop duo, formed at the tender age of 9 of two cousins have been best friends & musical partners almost as long as they have recollection of. Not only over the years grown to great MCs' but also great musical composers & writers learning the craft. From doing shows as intimate as 20 people to as great as 10,000+ plus this collective is only a few well placed moves & opportunities away from being one of the greatest success stories of all time. 
Although they were cousins and spent a period of their lives together, they had a huge degree of separation as well. Aside from Michigan, Joka also grew up in Georgia in a house with 5 kids and only his mother to provide. His lack of focused forced him to dropout of school and complete his GED program. Joka was always advanced academically but struggled with school growing up.  His mother is a huge Tupac fan but Joka's taste was more alternative; listening to the Gorillaz and Daft Punk  are two of the biggest influences outside of hip-hop that he had. He moved back to Michigan with his grandma in 2009 in order to pursue music full time T.O.  

In the early stages of T.O's life he grew up in a single parent household with two older brothers until he met his father to be. T.O. built a relationship with his teacher, that eventually became his "father" and moved in with him at the age of 14. Due to issues with his mother, he never returned home and was with his dad until he went to college. Going back and fourth from Michigan to Chicago with his dad is when he inherited his knowledge of music. His dad use to play Temptations, Anthony Hamilton,The Main ingredient and other old school music that widened T.O's niche. Although his dad succeeded throughout college, T.O. struggled academically as well but eventually made his way to Michigan State University in 2009. 

The group's style is a mixture of Hip-Hop, Rap and R&B. However, funk, soul, rock, electronic music, spoken word poetry, jazz and blues elements have been added to the group's musical palette. The wide range of musical knowledge between the two creates a sound and story that only .KOM can create.
