Can the robots have a heart? Do machines have souls? Rumin8's answer to these questions is a yes! Birmingham, AL based producer Rumin8 stays on the move, SP 404 in the back pack; he is always looking for "The Word". What's all this noise about? Hey, who said that? This guy is trying to get right down to the bottom of it. As a self proclaimed "lofi" Producer, Rumin8 pushes the boundaries of what is familiar, stretching nostalgia into the 21st century with uncommon production technique. Rumin8's goal is to make the most fire beats ever, while exploring the boundaries of "music", turning inside-out our preconceived notions about the art form.
His live performance is as convenient to attend to as it is entertaining. Dialing and triggering the Roland Sp 404 beat machine, his performance is a combination of sonic risk taking, pure raw expression, and well planned pre-recorded loops. He provides a magical, and comedic front man type persona, similar to that of a rock n' roller, but with an edge of music mystery.
