Rodney Patterson is a diamond in the rough. A pianist/songwriter who hails from Dallas and has been influenced by Quincy Jones, George Duke and Jim Brickman. His sound is a hybrid of R&B, Jazz and Classical. His current piece of work is melodically provocative. "Just Relax" contains phenomenal instrumentation and production. Bio
I started playing piano at 11 years old and I've been improving my gift over the years to create a distinctive relaxing style of music. I've written music for a couple of Leisa Hart's fitness videos, performed at the Liquid Lounge, House of Blues Dallas, Chocolate Secrets Wine Bar, and Desoto Sol Jazz Festival. People were telling me that they could listen to my music without any vocals added. With that knowledge and encouragement, I decided to release my debut album entitled Love > Fear in April 2012. My influences are Quincy Jones, Kenny G, Brian McKnight, and Jim Brickman. My live stage performance is filled with deep emotion and captivates the audience with my intense expression of being lost in the music. My music allows the listener to create their own story within each song. And that my friend is truly a GIFT! My new single "Just Relax" is now available on iTunes, Google Play, Tidal, Spotify, and CD Baby.
