Robert Yi

I am a geophysics graduate student by day, and I've been perpetually in a love-hate relationship with music and songwriting for the last 10 years. I spent a long time dabbling in pop, house, rap - whatever the genre of the moment was, actually. But I ultimately realized I wanted to make something that carried a different kind of weight. I pared down the production, returned to acoustic backing, and started crafting my lyrics more carefully. 

So that's what I do these days. Acoustic singer-songwriter stuff, with more careful attention to the story.
