"Rob Alderman is back with INDIANA"

Midwestern Americana by way of Southeast Tennessee, Rob Alderman and The Unfortunate Return continue to churn out their unique cocktail of indie American rock. On INDIANA, the former frontman of Bigger Than Dallas is back with a new band, new mixing engineer, and new mastering house. The result is a bigger sound and tighter production with layered harmonies, strings, and organs thrown into the mix of overdriven guitars. Sometimes it's a guitar solo and sometimes it's a kazoo choir. More whimsical than Son Volt, less strange than Wilco, and in a committed relationship with Uncle Tupelo, The Unfortunate Return owe as much to The Beatles as they do Johnny Cash, and that's a lovely, lovely thing. - Cleveland Daily Banner
