Central Texas based Rhythm Coalition features 2008 Texas Music Awards (TMA) "Female Vocalist of the Year" finalist and TMA’s “Top Rock Vocalist in 2008,” Denise Squier-Hornaday and R&B-funk singer song-writer Jake Mowrer.
The band’s rhythm section is powered by veteran musicians Dan Peterson on the bass and Patrick Dykes on the drums.
The Coalition is a musical collaboration which encompasses a wide variety of musical styles while always maintaining a distinctive style of it's own. The key word is "collaboration" as each of the members bring something unique to the table and provide a sense of energy, emotion and fun to the music.
The range of material is very wide and listeners can expect to hear anything from funk to soul to blues to rock to R&B.
The band has headlined several festivals and is a favorite at several local bars and clubs.
RC travels with its own sound system and full backline.
