the evolution of musical entertainment

 Innovative, energetic, and entertaining are just a few words used to describe this Birmingham based band.  This prodigious group of college friends and their fresh approach to contemporary jazz in this modern era has been building a buzz since they have emerged on to the music scene.  Although this group of friends have been playing music together on and off for over 20 years and also as members of other bands, the anticipation of this reunion has been long over due.  

When saxophonist Didalious Hill reached out to producer Canita Rogers to begin work on his solo project, the magic was instant as the two laid down ideas for the project.  As the two continued to collaborate, the dynamic drumming of long time friend Chris Seltzer was brought in to add a level of funk and energy that only he could add to this charismatic duo.  With the pieces in place of this raw passionate saxophonist, plus a progressive neo-funky keyboardist, and an energetic dynamic drummer, the group “Resurgence” was born. Because of its unique approach to contemporary jazz and entertainment, Resurgence has been building enthusiastic fans one note at a time.
