RELLIKDOG was formed in 2004, Forged from the progeny of rock and roll & Despair.
The musical ventures of Chuck Swire and Kieth Jardine began over a decade ago. Both individuals had thoughts of hanging up their hats and calling it a day, but the need to create and the will to push on was inevitably the beginning of, what many refer to as a kick-ass band
Like many bands today, RELLIKDOG has gone through various line-up changes, with Chuck and Kieth remaining as they are the heart of the beast. Doug Forian and David Sibb, both served time as the RELLIKDOG bass player. In 2011 the power-trio played a show that was unforgettable to the now lead guitar player, Adam Cooper. The band truly stole the show that evening and it was evident that the trio and Cooper were meant to be, although it would be months before all four would play together.
The chemistry was undeniable. The foursome now had the entire package.
Towards the end of 2012 RELLIKDOG entered a Battle of the Bands in Barrie Ontario and emerged victorious. The prize was an opportunity to head to one of Barrie's best and most reputable recording studio to record an outstanding 7 song EP. World @ War
World @ War was released on July 1 2012. The band played a forty minute set that was second to none and once again stole the show. The songs, as heavy as they are were welcomed by the people, who saw a unified group with a massive sound and a dominating social presence.
Sales of the CD went beyond the expectation of the group who continued to play as much as possible. North Bay, Bracebridge, Orillia and Barrie all saw RELLIKDOG through-out 2013.
In 2014 RELLIKDOG plans to continue to show the masses that they are not just a band but a concept!
