Underneath the playful spirit that resonates throughout his latest album "Lovelike" lies a thoughtful examination and expression of human yearning, offering listeners an experience that is as much relevant as it is musical.

Quique composes music that travels far stylistically, mixed within it a marked, yet distinct, international flavor, at times reminiscent of Manu Chao, The Beach Boys, Juan Luis Guerra, Stevie Wonder, Sergio Mendez and Paul Simon among others. Quique's passion for songwriting roots itself in his fascination for melody and uniqueness, and at the heart of his lyrics lies a steady quest for self-awareness and human interconnection.

Born in Florida, Quique moved to Peru at age 3, where Michael Jackson's "Thriller" introduced music to his young ears, and where Juan Luis Guerra (the Beatles of Latin America) captivated his imagination. At age 11 he returned to the U.S., picked up the guitar and began exploring composition, an endeavor that has since deeply inspired him.

Open and interactive, Quique utilizes the stage as a medium for creative exchange with audiences, affirming their presence as a key ingredient for an authentic musical experience.

A multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer, Quique records and produces all his music. Since 2001 he has developed an extensive archive of recorded music both as a solo artist and in collaboration with other musicians and filmmakers (3 full length albums, 3 EPs, dozens of singles and 3 film scores).
