Still and quiet state of mind at the cross-roads of music genres,between Rock and Pop,Folk and Jazz,Acoustic and Electric,Silence and Roar,Dream and Reality,Now and Then... QUIET was formed in St.Petersburg,Russia.Soon after leader of the band Val "Silantiy" Rublikov emigrated to US (1998),QUIET found it's second home in New York City.It coincide with the band's first CD release at NYC based Proforma Records(though,it was recorded back in Russia).Total band released three albums,participated in several compilations (Proforma,NYC and Bomba-Piter,St.Petersburg)and played in different venues in NYC (Studio at Webster Hall,The Hook,C- Note,DownHouse,Neva,Bardot Heights...)and beyond (Baltimore,Washington DC,St.-Petersburg/Russia/,Tallinn/Estonia/)...In 2010 QUIET was reestablished with a new line-up of instruments,added a strong keyboard precense,expanding the sound palette of the band.The band's live act ,where drive,energy,dynamic control from silence to wall-of-sound,combined with strong songwriting and musicianship produces the truly unique sense of unity with the audience in a venue, regardless of its size...QUIET defines it's style as quietdelic.Greatly inspired by the music of 60s-80s,they trying to find it's own unique way in a music ocean.
