While their staple sounds invoke a mixture of gypsy punk and amped-up rock & roll, Qiet has tackled nearly every style of music and are finding that audiences appreciate the effort. Playful, inventive, and yet surprisingly serious about producing quality work, the band continues to push the boundaries of how music is consumed. Performance art, sculpture work, film—all forms of artistic exposure seem to be at the whim of this eclectic band’s creativity. It’s Qiet’s dedication to their work that draws people in, but it’s the quality and instant appeal of their songs that have caused the Qiet fan base to grow exponentially with every show they play.

Qiet is one of the area's more eclectic ensembles, combing theatrics with rock and featuring lead singer Christopher Harris, who possesses an impressive set of room-filling pipes. - THE CHARLESTON GAZETTE
A street music, performance-art machine. One of Huntington's coolest indie bands that can't find an extra vowel but that can find a musical saw. - The Herald-Dispatch
"When it comes to the underscoring, scene-change music, and intermission, I just said go and let me see what you can do, and it’s worked out fantastically. I really respect Christopher Harris and Mike Waldeck in their creative process." - The Herald-Dispatch
QIET is a six-to-eight member band whose Balkan-influenced music has generated considerable word-of-mouth buzz in the Huntington music scene. With unique instrumentation, crooned predictions of human transcendence, and occasional nudity, Qiet's shows are guaranteed to be memorable and remarkable. - Seth Baker of Flying Cat Media
When asking the band how so many people came together to make this unique music – epic songs that might bring Arcade Fire or David Bowie to mind but remain truly original – their response was: "Fate and desperation led us all down the same musical path to Qiet." The band is known (one could perhaps say notorious) for offering more than just a standard rock show, incorporating lighting, costumes and performance art to give the audience a 360-degree feast of the senses. They also prize interactivity with the audience, asking the crowd to participate in performances and having audience members join them on stage to sing songs with the band. - Jess Graham of the Huntington News
...it is music with a vision and a purpose – music to dance to (should the mood take you), but equally it is intelligent, literary music that you can listen to (should the mood take you). - Mad Mackerel
Aptly titled ‘The Indie Song’, the album track evokes the vaudevillian atmosphere of fellow genre darlings Gogol Bordello and Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeroes. - Magnet Magazine
[Pet Driftwood] might sound like an indie hipster title torn [from] the Arcade Fire playbook, and it is, but the album promises to be infinitely more adventurous. - Popdose
...a baffling blend that really shouldn’t work, but does. It’s visionary, but not in a way that too weird to enjoyably listen to. - The Owl Magazine

Bio
Qiet is the culmination of this wild and wondrous world, infused with every culture on the planet and refined in the mountains of West Virginia. Our songs radiate an undeniable energy, passionate lyrics and humor dark as coal. A balance of high-energy chaos and perfect order, Qiet’s visceral performances will keep you dancing long after the concert’s over. Combining the elegant excesses of 1920’s jazz with the unpredictably of pure punk rock, what results is not just a show -- it is an experience.
