PronToh (Prahn-Toe) is a 7 piece funk band hailing from Columbus, Ohio. Consisting of a full horn section, 2 drummers, 5 vocalists, lead guitar, and of course funky bass. Often described as “Jungle Funk” creating a genre of its own that teases elements of hip hop, jazz, reggae, and progressive music composition with multiple driving creative forces that come together creating a powerful multi faceted sonical journey that highlights each member. this band just about blends into any line up or festival.
PT released their debut EP in less than one year working together titled “The Party Don’t Stop” in May 2018
After winning the “Road to Summer Camp Competition” their Scamp debut was in 2018, along with festivals such as Summercamp 2018 & The Werk Out Music and Arts festival featuring Umphrey’s Mcgee, The Werks, and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. Comfest Music and Arts festival (2018), Earth Day Celebration with Doc Robinson capping at 5,000 attendees annually, headlining Celebrate Clintonville Festival, and The Sacred Harvest Festival in September. Has opened for International band G Nome Project from Israel. They also have played with Columbus and regional acts such as The Werks, Funk Worthy, Electric Orange Peel, Conscious Pilot, Doc Robinson, Ernie Johnson From Detroit, Culture Thief, The Tangled Roots, Desmond Jones and many more at Woodland's Tavern.
Building off of influences from Snarky Puppy, Lettuce, Naughty Professor, The Main Squeeze, Streetlight Manifesto, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Reel Big Fish, Slightly Stoopid, and The Dead
