Alvin Vincent Triggs II (born February 28, 1986), known by stage name Princinnati, is an Ohio based national Hip Hop recording artist (hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio). He was born to Tori and Alvin Triggs Sr. in Portsmouth, NH where his father was stationed and served at an United States Air Force base for years. Years later, his parents relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio.
Princinnati officially began his music career in 2006 recording his first song and performing at small town talent shows and open mics. It was just a year into Princinnati’s career where he experienced tragedy and a life shattering moment, the death of his very close relative, Chaz McCray. Struck with grief and depression, Princinnati was able to channel the loss of family and other recent events into his music. Creating music provided Princinnati much comfort in his life as well as fill the void of loss.
In 2012, Princinnati co-founded the imprint; Phresh Fraternity Inc, a music and lifestyle brand. In 2015, Princinnati performed at 101.1 Wiz FM’s 1st Annual Nati Summer Bash at BB&T Arena alongside with celebrity artists Future, Cool Amerika, Chedda da Connect, and Tink. Just recently, Princinnati performed at The Avenue as opening act for Jeezy. Princinnati is now currently relocated in Atlanta, Georgia.
Over the years, Princinnati’s hard work as an entertainer has paid off (through hard work and artist development), allowing for him to perform from local talent shows to stadiums and arenas. Overall, Princinnati’s perseverance has shown that his new found success is no fluke but a sign of things to come.

May I have your attention please?
AYO Cincinnati WASHH POPPIN?- CLEARLY we have all been sleeping if we haven’t gotten a chance to peep one of OH’s illest rising stars Princinnati of Phreshfraternity. Luckily we got to sit and talk goals, projects, and new music after being featured on WordStarHipHop.com pulling over 11,000 views.
” (The music industry) – taught me to really put your money where your mouth is, it was a lot of situations that I’ve been in where it didn’t matter how talented I may have been-if you didn’t have your money right or if your business wasn’t right and everything wasn’t in order you wouldn’t be listened to at all.”
Growing up his father was in the military giving him a new perspective to his views on music. Most believe if they aren’t from the hood then they aren’t real enough for the game which is an intolerable bias many face. “It was very interesting(having a father in the military). It taught me a lot about being punctual, organized and respect. It also helped me with understanding how to adapt to change. My father was stationed twice in 5 years so I got used to moving.” Change in his case helped him evolve.
The most interesting thing to me was that he is an 80’s baby fighting to reach his goals in this generations “bubble gum” hip-hop era. I was eager to figure out why he continues to go so hard, when to this generation his rap style may be ignored as it doesn’t fit their typical expectations. “My motivation is my family, my city and the frat(my team). I want my mother to be retired if she wants to be in the next 5 years. My brothers are young so I want their futures to already be set. I want Chase(manager) and Artimar to be able to put their families in better situations and have more opportunities.” Using that he earned his way to open for big acts FUTURE and TINK at 101.1 Wiz FM’s 1st Annual Nati Summer Bash located at BB&T Arena on Sunday, July 12th (MLB All Star Weekend).
“Chase I’ve been knowing him for 20 years.-from him watching me come up he always knows what’s in my best interest. He always knows what’s going on,what moves I should make and so forth – he watched me come up since I was 7 years old.”
In 2012 he co-founded his own brand Phresh Fraternity with long time friend and manager Chase Manhattan which helped him form a brotherhood with all those involved. Recently he moved to ATL which we all know is hot spot for support and getting your poppin’ within the hip-hop community. But is it really what it’s cracked up to be? “They (Artist in Atlanta) have shown a lot of love. They just respect my grind-I haven’t run into any situation that wasn’t good when it comes to Atlanta artist and Atlanta DJs, so the transition wasn’t that hard, I just had to grind to get into right Avenues to make sure that it was the best move for me.”
In the end we asked if he had any words for the newbies or simply those out there trying to grind.
“Keep working and keep grinding. Always move forward even if the walk forward it slow don’t stop and don’t stay stagnant. The world isn’t going to stop for you so you need to get everything that you can while you’re young enough to get it.”
“We thank you Princinnati for allowing us to cover you and are excited to see you continue to grind and show the world how its done. In the name of hip-hop, -AMEN”

Bio
Alvin Vincent Triggs II (born
February 28, 1986), known by stage name Princinnati, is an independent Hip Hop
recording artist (hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio). He was born to Tori and Alvin
Triggs Sr. in Portsmouth, NH. As a child, Princinnati lived on the Pease Air
Force Base, where his father was stationed and served in the United States Air
Force for four years. In 1990, Princinnati’s father relocated to the Scott Air
force Base in East St. Louis, MZ where they lived for five years. In 1995, the
entertainer’s family moved to Cincinnati, OH after his father was honorably
discharged from the United States Air Force. It was here, in Cincinnati, where
Princinnati got his first glance of the entertainment industry (growing up),
watching his mother transform into a soulful songstress and compete in local
talent shows.
Upon entering high school (Winton Woods High
School), Princinnati’s love for music grew and his need for being in the
spotlight blossomed. Princinnati participated in many extracurricular activities
and after school organization: he played varsity basketball and football,
performed in several school talent shows, and was a member of the men’s choir.
As Princinnati’s confidence and aspiration of
becoming an entertainer soured, it was also during Princinnati’s high school
years, which his life had taken a drastic turn for the worst. His father had
succumb to alcoholism, struggling with depression and harsh realities, causing
him to leave his family behind to fend for themselves. Princinnati’s parents
eventually separted. Immediately following the separation, Princinnati’s mother
moved the family to Indianapolis, IN to pick up the pieces of his family. The
young rapper remained in Cincinnati to focus on his music career, but
immediately experienced another tragic event when the murder of his close
cousin Charles “Chaz” Mcray occurred in 2007. Greif stricken and alone,
Princinnati channeled the death and devastation of the recent events into his
music.
Princinnati officially began his music career in 2006 when he recorded his first original song entitled “The Blues.” Initially, Princinnati’s career was fuel by routine impromptu freestyle sessions throughout Cincinnati, which eventually landed the new artist into a studio session to record his first track. He continued pursuing his aspirations as an entertainer by hosting parties and performing regularly at several local venues, open-mic nights, and talent shows across town. Princinnati has gradually built up a following in the city of Cincinnati upon releasing a series of well-received singles and collaborations, including the hit “Fresh To Death” (February 2008), "Brown Skin" (April 2009), and the club banger “Eatin’ Ain’t Cheatin’" (October 2009). On July 8th, 2010, Princinnati released his first mixtape entitled “Royalty: Volume One” and in February 2011 released the single “Pumps and Skinnys”. Later on in 2012, Princinnati went on to record and release single “I’m On That”, which started to receive national attention and internet traffic. “I’m On That,” features artist Artimar Cole (Phresh Fraternity) and music production from Tone Beats aka The Beat Bully (production credits: Rick Ross and Meek Mill).
Since becoming a full time entertainer in 2006, Princinnati has participated in numerous local and regional events throughout the Midwest region; as well perform at many club venues. Princinnati has become a regularly featured performer at Cincinnati’s annual Midwest Regional Black Family Reunion, and has performed as opening act for several music industry heavyweights such as Rick Ross, Future, 2 Chainz and Gucci Mane. In 2009, Princinnati won first place in the Russ Parr Bus Tour in Louisville, KY after amassing over 5,000 votes. In December 2014, Princinnati won first place performance at the Coast 2 Coast Live Showcase in Atlanta, GA and the Summer of 2015, Princinnati won radio station, 101.1 WIZF (The Wiz), contest to peform at the 1st Annual Nati Summer Bash concert. In 2017, Princinnati performed at several notable events such as radio station, Hot 107.9's Annual Birthday Bash "Block Party" (Atlanta, GA), 106.7 The Beat's "Summer Beatdown" feat. Lil Wayne (Columbus, OH), and 101.1 WIZF's New Years Eve Bash (Cincinnati, OH).
