Prima Donna Rising is excited to announce they will be embarking on their first tour of the UK which will begin on May 30, 2020, in Killarney, Ireland, and continue to England, and Wales! They will return home in time to headline the World famous Whisky A Go Go in July, 2020!
Prima Donna Rising will release a special limited edition EP in December 2019, produced by Felix Robinson of the prog-rock band Angel, and Sam Maxson, at MegaSound Studios, ahead of "A Second Bite of the Apple," which will be released in June 2020, and will support the album with a North American and European tour! Hailing from Southern California, Prima Donna Risingis a loud, hard-hitting, heavy rock band ready to bring their brand of arena rock to a new generation!!
In January of 2018, Prima Donna Risingwas asked by UK band JoanovArcto join them on a tour of the UK. Prima Donna Risingreformed, and began writing and recording new material. They released their first single "Leading Me On" in February 2018, and the video in April 2018. "Leading Me On" has been played on over 300 radio stations world wide, both terrestrial and internet, and the band has been interviewed in French heavy metal magazine "The Metal Mag." In the first ten months their social media presence had grown to over 11,000 Facebook followers, combining their following from the 80s with many new listeners from around the world!
Prima Donna Risinghas been joined on stage by guitarist Jimmy Burkard, (Westward, ex Billy Idol), and Roger Romeoof Legs Diamond, as special guest, and shared the stage with many hard rock artists including Ratt, Kix, The Babys, Angel, XYZ,and Black 'n Blue, as well as classic rockers Sweet, Michael Monarchof Steppenwolf, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, Elvin Bishop Group, and more. Prima Donna Risingis represented in the UK by Skyfire Interactive and is signed to Skyfire Records.
A leading force in what would become 80s hair metal, Prima Donna Risingbegan in the San Francisco Bay area in 1979, and shortly thereafter relocated to Los Angeles. Once in L.A., they became a mainstay on the Hollywood club circut andbegan touring throughout California. As Prima Donna Rising's popularity grew so did their ability to tour the United States.
In 1985, the band entered the studio and began recording what became, "loud, Louder, LOUDEST." Prima Donna Rising, riding high on the album release and ready to capitalize on Japan's obsession with glam rock, was offered to tour Japan. However, shortly before the tour was to begin, Prima Donna Risingunexpectedly disbanded and went silent . . . until now!
Kimble Ouerbacker, Tommy Rojo, ( ex Jack Russell's Great White, exMike Pinera of Iron Butterfly and Blues Image), Steven Sunnarborg, David Boice, and Kaylan Ouerbacker bring their many years of musical experience to deliver a sonic tour de force to a new generation of Rock 'n Rollers!
