If you haven't heard the debut E.P. by Permacrush then you are overlooking one of the releases of 2006 that is worthy of going back and checking out.
It is full of classic guitar sounds, catchy lyrics with dicey rock and roll subject matter and melodies that you will remember. This is one of a few local releases that I actually find myself singing long after I listen to the record.
Chris Crush brings his songwriting skills to the front as he delivers single after single. Completely memorable tunes that have become crowd favorites at their shows. This was a great debut record with lots of potential for growth.
The production by local gurus Marc and Eric Johnson of The Pop Machine in Indy continues to STACK up against many major label releases.
Some of these songs from STACK will be re-released on the band's first full length record VICE coming in 2008. These songs charted well on the college charts and it is no surprise. You should get both PC records.

Bio
Every so often, the planets align and Rock and Roll rears its ugly head. That's what has happened with PERMACRUSH. Counted out and left for dead many times, this band continues to kick ass. Formed in 2005 by frontman/stuntman Chris Crush the band forges ahead with their own brand of Rock leaving their mark on Southern California.
With the resurgence of many 80's Rock bands on the Hollywood scene, PERMACRUSH has carved out their own place bringing a new energy to a much-loved genre. Featuring Brett Baugh on Lead Guitar, Harley Duggan on Bass and Alex Tuccio on drums, the band continues to get it done as the social media sites find new fans, friends and followers.
Permacrush opened two sold-out shows at The World Famous Whisky a Go Go as support for Stephen Pearcy the voice of Ratt. They have also opened successful Whisky shows for L.A. GUNS, Faster Pussycat, Don Dokken, Hookers and Blow, Jack Russell's Great White and direct support for Rough Cutt.
A notable: Eric Greedy (HURT, BRMC), produced the band's most successful song, Only Friend, which was downloaded over 430,000 times in the Microsoft Windows 7 Playlist 7 band promotion.
Scoring endorsements with GMP guitars, Quilter Amps, T.Rex effects, Outlaw Effects and Clayton Picks the band is continuing to get well deserved attention. Look for the new single, Charades, out now. Find the video on Youtube.
Permacrush is on the Indie 500 Records label.
