T. Karras is a hip-hop producer who has been an avid fan since he found it in 2007. His early influences include Jay-Z and Nas. As hip-hop evolved, so too, did his inspiration, where artists like Kendrick Lamar and MC Lyte now tantalize his muse. In 2010, T decided to start writing his own lyrics in an effort to face the anger and emotion deep within himself, and turn it into a tool that served him - rap. The road was rocky at first - learning production proved to be a challenge in and of itself, but with diligence, and the help of other genres, T was able to find a way to focus his thoughts into solid tracks that he uses to build his albums, all while using his daily experiences and the cathartic freedom of hip-hop to try to cope with the reality that we all live in a rough world. In his work, T wishes to “bring back the soul and hard work ethos that has been lost in hip-hop...I feel like hip-hop is about art and poetry, and that’s what I’m aiming to bring back.”.
