Nubia.Soul.Goddess

Nubia Soul Goddess, a Soul Funk artist was born in Macon, GA. raised on the outskirts of in a small town of Bolingbroke, GA. Her voice is the essence of soul, neo soul, and funk all wrapped up in layers of sultry smoothness.

She is currently performing with her band "Phoenix" promoting her upcoming album "Changing Faces" as well as the newly formed music label "SoulBeeMusic." Nubia Soul Goddess is also heading up a new nonprofit, "Music for Life," which focuses on using music to fund impoverished schools and provide additional alternative therapies for sexually molested children and their families. Lastly, her vocal production & jingle company Sweet Ear Candy, is also making it's way through the country as her faculty vocalists assist other artists on their musical projects and create jingles for businesses and audio tags and drops for radio stations.

The formation of Nubia Soul Goddess was an accidental intention of name giving by her first manager, "Tawhiyda Tupak El," of WRFG Radio after an outstanding performance at the Annual Natural Hair Show in Atlanta, Ga in 2009. Initially being called just "Nubia" was not enough to describe the performance she gave that day in front of thousands of festival attendees. The addition of "Soul Goddess" was appropriate for the sound and energy that erupted from her.

She continued her performances throughout the city until the formation of her band "Phoenix" was born in 2015 with it's original members of Gary Allen Ware (keyboardist), Marcus Tyrone Wilder (drummer, 05/25/1992 - 12/26/2015), Darius Malone (bass). That's when a formal platform was set for the purpose and ultimate goal was for herself and the band and a new musical family entity was born.

As they continue to stir the souls of music lovers and listeners with their spunk, energy, and ultimately soul- Nubia Soul Goddess & Phoenix are definitely on a mission, "to give good music to the world again."
