O.D. Mongrel is a pseudonym and persona created by the artist Dasan Broadnax. Broadnax constructed an aural and visual world for O.D. Mongrel that began on social media sites in 2015. The sounds surrounding O.D. Mongrel are a union between electronic guitar, hardware synthesis, sampling, drum programming and vocalizing. This sonic vision was realized in 2017 with the release of MONGTAPE VOL. 1. O.D. Mongrel’s visuals are constantly updated on Tumblr as well as Instagram where he has over 3,000 followers of his content. Shortly after the release of the Mongtape Broadnax began curating shows around the Tri-state area and performing as O.D. Mongrel. Since then we’ve seen the release of the Reptilian Brain Fart music video as well as its release on all major streaming platforms.
O.D. Mongrel advocates for unique and electrifying energy displayed in sound and vision.
