Noirre is all the rage in Japan. Yet, on this particular evening, the 19-year-old Rocklin artist will celebrate his October album Nostalgia locally for the first time. Considering his youth, Nostalgia is staggeringly polished and mature. Noirre writes, sings and plays guitar, keys, drums and bass on all the tracks. Oh, and he produced Nostalgia as well. Talk about talent. The result is a coming-of-age indie-pop record with catchy melodies and a neo-soul flair. Ugh, it’s finally starting to happen. The next generation of musicians is starting to emerge, and they’re younger than me. I never thought it would happen so soon… Like I’m 19, would it kill these young artists to chill out on the weekends and watch Netflix and eat Cheetos like normal teenagers? Looking at you, Lorde… Anyway, at the ripe old age of 18, Noirre has already reached star-like status with his knack for song-writing. His single released in February climbed all the way to #1 on the Indie Rock Billboards, edging out formidable competitors like Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, and Phoenix.
His writing skills are indeed impressive, as his album Nostalgia—which he produced all by himself—showcases beautifully. Though his sound isn’t exactly unique, it does pull from a remarkably broad foundation of styles. Songs have R&B, country, jazz, blues, and reggae influences, along with heavy singer/songwriter ties. Even though the record is firmly grounded along the indie pop/rock spectrum, these flavors of various genres spice up the sound and keep every song on the record fresh. Being from NorCal, Noirre’s songs give off awesome kick-back vibes as the syncopated guitars strum alongside his flawless voice. On that note, this guy’s crooning sounds totally effortless, like silk streaming out of speakers. I’m remarkably impressed by this youngin’. He’s got genuine talent, and we should keep our ears tuned to him in the coming years.

Noirre has been selected to be a Featured Artist at over 200 Tower Records locations in Japan. The deal will also place Noirre music videos at point of purchase slots throughout these stores to support in store sales of his new album, Nostalgia. - Tower Records Japan

The new Noirre album titled, "Nostalgia", features 13 tracks - including the break out singles: "West Coast", "Real" and "My Mistakes Were Made For You".

A far cry from the J-Giles Band, but not along way off from heaven, this Centerfold spread is more Chick Flick than something hidden in a hall locker. A space age update reminiscent of Walking on the Moon by the Police, super cool drum patterns, pulsing melody arrangements enhanced by echoing call and repeat hooks to chill after the thrill! - Review on the Q!

Last week’s recommendation was the soundtrack to your summer party, here we have the soundtrack to a lazy day at the beach. It’s no suprise then that Noirre hails from Sacramento, CA, which is pretty much all I can tell you about him. Never mind, the music speaks for itself. Catchy, chill-out electronic tunes which are bound to stick in your head long after the summer will have gone.

Bio
Noirre is a Nor Cal musician, songwriter, and producer with So Cal vibes whose youthfulness paradoxes his musical and storytelling ability. He writes, records and produces every track on his albums.
Noirre brings together elements of Indie pop, rock and R&B brilliantly and seamlessly blends these different musical styles into a single and cohesive sound that is entirely his own. At just 20, Noirre is being hailed by music fans across the globe for his incredible songwriting ability and infectious melodies.
Noirre’s first album, Nite Tales, made a splash for both fans and the industry. For the month of February 2015, Noirre held the #1 spot for Indie Rock singles on the influential music radio service, Indie Shuffle -- edging out such heavy weights as Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, The Kooks and Phoenix.
Noirre’s music is receiving extensive airplay on college and alternative/modern rock radio stations in both the US and abroad. Noirre’s music is used extensively in the Roadtrip Nation films, “Road to TEACH” and “Why Not Us?” on the Pivot TV network reaching over 45 million households in the U.S. Noirre is also featured musically in the surfing lifestyle reality TV series, “Bring Your Own Board, Orange County”.
Noirre sings and plays guitar, piano/keyboards, drums and bass - yet he is completely self-taught. Despite the lack of formal training, Noirre is a first year student at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.
