More NC Hip-Hop? Why not? Topiq, part of the No9to5Music conglomerate is currently working on his project, Limitless due out June 27th. Here’s Bump This with a BTS video of the beat making process after the jump. This is thorough as fuck. - 2Dopeboyz
I met with the band to discuss the release of their new music video, “gringo starbuxxx.” Their first album will be released on April 1, entitled NO LINGER IN THE PAST. With Patrick as the voice and Mike providing the beats, the pair creates a cool mix between live instrumentation and hip-hop.
Mike and Patrick were very fun to interview, and despite their differing musical focuses, they both clearly respect each other as musicians. Their backgrounds provide Analog Rascals a unique sound that can be enjoyed by all music lovers. - Resound Magazine

Anyone need a jolt of authentic, boom bap hip-hop this morning? Well this new video by University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill undergrad (via Dobbs Ferry, New York) JSWISS should do the trick. Produced by Dee Jay Element of the Brown Bag All Stars, "Four Corners" contains banging drums, sick scratches by DJ Brace, and JSWISS kicking his new school brand of fluid bars.
Watch above, and also check out JSWISS' LeaveMeALoan EP, which features "Four Corners" and four additional remix cuts. - Complex Magazine
