"4/3/14 All Ages @ The Crux – The Bring Your Mom Tour"

“X Marks The Track Mark” – NKNGS (Feat. & Prod. DJ Destroy)
One of my personal favorites that I’ve listened to so far, I really hope that NKNGS (who also goes by Gross Boy, from what I can tell) performs this one on Thursday. As with all of these cats, the lyrics are solid and the delivery is clean. - Earthlings Ent.

"NKNGS – “We Paint Wrecked Signs” (Official Video)"

So I’ll keep this short and sweet; I met NKNGS (pronounced “No Kings”) after opening up for him when the Bring Your Mom Tour came through town. He was travelling with a couple of dope cats (big ups Smar-T Jones, Simple Steve, and Early Adopted–you can check out a sample of each of them here), and surprised me not only with a great performance, but with the fact that he went to high school in Driggs, ID.

Driggs, man. Dope rappers are few and far between in Idaho as is, and the only person I’ve ever met from Driggs is a girl I sit next to at work–so naturally I’m stoked that such a dope artist has come not only from the 208, but from such a secluded part of it.

The video, shot and edited by Early Adopted out of Boston, MA while on the Bring Your Mom Tour highlights a lot of awesome places in downtown Boise, ID, such as freak alley (also used in a cool HTC video I cameo’d in), 8th Street, and Idaho St.

Show this cat some love, peep and like his Facebook page, and–even if they now kick it in Pheonix–always support 208 Hip-Hop. - Earthlings Ent

"3 Strange & Wondrous HipHop Experiences"

The extended intro to Gross Boy’s latest, Ear Sushi, almost most lost me three minutes into the album, but, thankfully, I persevered. Once I’d settle into the second track – “Ah! Monk!” – I’d realized this was an instrumental album and stopped waiting for Gross Boy to start dropping rhymes. Also known as NKNGS, Gross Boy is signed to One Eyed Nation, an independent art and music collective. The album Ear Sushi promotes an ambient drift of thoughts as you move through the songs. “Lonely People (Sex Offender)” might just be my favorite track from the album, but “If Your Bones Were Braile” is a close contender. The tracks achieve a subtle funk that plays through much of Ear Sushi. Check out the album here. - Yab Yum

Still working on that hot first release.
