In this new romantic love body of work, Nataya Rule shares her intimate feelings in lyrics on her new project titled True Love. Representing Sacramento, CA, Nataya dives in to the ups and downs of relationships that some away shy away from. Opening the project with “On & On,” this soft-spoken singer declares her need to be acknowledged and treasured by her love interest. Only 22-year-old, this singer songwriter freely describes her expectations and limits in love, which include wanting a love that is continuous and free, just like water.

Plunging deep into her emotional state, Nataya uses “Come Over” to giver her listeners a track filled with slow-tempoed melodic runs that emphasize her singing range. Things are spiced up on “On My Mind” as she serenades her hidden desires. Bashfully expressing the growing need to have them fulfilled, Nataya shares thoughts behind creating this song.

Another R&B singer with great runs. An album that sounds like a late night, on the way home. The production is strong, with lots of piano chords put “underwater” and surrounded by creeping synths and 808s. A perfect soundscape for Nataya to ride all of these beats with ease, pouring out her heart about love, sacrifice and heartbreak. Something meant to put you in your feelings, sitting thinking about all the people that have done you wrong. She is another singer with a tone that is so unique but so reminiscent of the music you have been listening to for years. The album has a rawness that makes her relatable, like it was your homegirl from down the street. Alive, On My Mind & True Love are my favorites, which to me are all great singles off of this project.
