Bio
Based in Mobile, Alabama, Nahshon Taqi a self taught violinist began his studies at the age of 17 and taken under the wing of Jim Lichtenberger, a Strings instructor at Murphy High School and violinist with the Mobile Symphony Orchestra. Naturally gifted with an ear for music and a tireless work ethic, Nahshon later joined the Mobile Youth Symphony Orchestra under the conduction of Dr. Robert Seabacher.
Not long after he graduated from high school, he was offered a chance to perform with seasoned jazz guitarist Dennis Fingeroll Nelson at Bayfest, opening up for Mary J Blige. Nahshon has also performed with legendary jazz trombonist Fred Wesley and International Soprano Lynn Mackie. In addition to these achievements, Nahshon has opened up for decorated producer Kelvin Wooten, artist DeQn Sue, artist Clinton Babers, Southern Soul Veteran Jeremiah Davis, Gospel Legend Maurette Clark Brown, "King of Swing" a.k.a Tucka, and a whole host of others. Nahshon has appeared on stage with grammy nominated artist Ashanti Floyd "The Mad Violinist" on multiple occasions. Nahshon was also a featured artist on TEDx talks in Birmingham AL.

A seasoned and exhilirating performer, Nahshon has incorporated choreography and rapping into his sets. Performing a variety of genres from hip hop, folk, smooth jazz, classical and country, Nahshon is one of the most versatile artists and performers in the Southeast region. He always actively looks to push the bounds of his regional and artistic horizons. When not working on his music career, Nahshon finds time to give back to the community by doing non-profit community service events. He has worked with The Boys and Girls club, the Drop Back In Academy, and other generous activities for the youth.
