 Mz. Yola Parsons soulful essence resonates loud and clear every time she opens her mouth and that beautiful voice fills the air. At the innocent age of five, Yola, and those around her, discovered her melodic gift of song. Born and raised in Wilmington, DE, Mz. Yola spent every waking moment soaking up all of the musical creativity that surrounded her. From her uncles, The Broomer Brothers to her aunt Earlyn Thomas who sang on their local church choir, the budding Mz. Yola emulated and studied their styles to create her own. By the time she turned ten, Yola began singing lead on that very same choir which only continued to sculpt and strengthen her voice.

Mz. Yola went on to join her high school choir as well as the choir at Lincoln University. Winning a few local contests only further confirmed her childhood premonitions; music was what she was born to do. While, neo-soul is her genre of choice, Mz. Yola has no limit to what she can do musically. Ranging from country to pop, she is willing to press the envelope as long as the end result is good music made.  

Mz.Yola is ready to pursue her dream and sing her soulful lyrics to the world.
