Mountain Shark is perhaps the greatest voice-cello-trumpet-violin-drums folk/rock/jazz band ever to exist. Its members - Dave Haughey (Cello, Voice), Brad Kuykendall (Violin, Mandolin), Derek Worthington (Trumpet), and Jon Taylor (Drums) - have been active members of the Michigan music community for years. In Mountain Shark, they come together to pool their vast experience in Jazz, Classical, Folk, Improvisation, and Traditional Music. The result is music that teeters between seemingly disparate worlds, sometimes finding a foothold in a groove and sometimes floating on clouds of improvisation, but always captivating its audience. Those who have heard the Mountain Shark and lived to tell the tale will remain ever drawn to its enchanted aura.
