"It takes heart (among other bodily secretions) to establish a music scene. The labor of love that is finding the next great band or playing a great show is a task proven much too daunting for the weekend warrior. As we pour into sweaty bars and push our way to the front of crowded stages, a sense of comradory takes hold of us. We instantly belong to something, something bigger, something that can only be born of true passion, something real. While many of us dredge through sub par performances at many "chicken wing joints", once in a while Charleston is bestowed with the preverbal "breath of fresh air". Breathe deep Charleston because our breath of fresh air is here, and it goes by "Moosekick".
BobCat Music along with 1770 Records would like to introduce you to Moosekick, as we present the release of their full length album "Blue Room Revival" with special guests SUSTO on October 10, 2014 at The Music Farm in Charleston, SC. 2014 has proven to be a watershed year for Moosekick, having sold out The Visulite Theater in Charlotte, NC, constantly touring the southeast as a staple on the college fraternity/sorority scene, and a steady schedule of local shows that keep kids overflowing from their hometown bars. Most recently the guys have secured a spot opening for legendary band "Umphrees McGee" at Hampton Sydney in Virginia this fall. BobCat Music and 1770 records invite you to experience the unique blend of southern rock, blues, and funk that is Moosekick at The Music Farm on October 10, 2014 at 8pm as they take the stage with special guests SUSTO, to celebrate the release of their new album. Bio
Moose Kick is a five piece rock n' roll powerhouse based out of the beautiful Charleston, SC. The band began in a blue room during the winter of 2013 and since has spent countless days touring, recording, mastering and sharing their sound with the world. During the summer of 2014 the band spent time in Charleston Sound Studios where they recorded their first full length album "Blue Room Revival" which is available on iTunes and all major music selling platforms today. After working with the band throughout the summer, sound engineer Trevor Maron deemed the sound as progressive-southern-funk, which truly rings out in the band's first album. Since releasing the album in October of 2014 the band has taken their talent to the road touring virtually nonstop, and selling out shows throughout the region. Great strides and long hours have created a very unique writing process which has ultimately translated into a heavy hitting yet beautiful live performance.
