Nicholas Capozzolo the bands founder, went in search of musicians to share that feeling you get when your favorite song comes on the radio and your instantly transported to the time and place that means most to you deep in your heart. Nick has played bass and been involved in music his entire life coming from a family full of music heads and creative entity he grew up encompassing what it meant to move people with sound. On the bass Nick is able to dazzle with one note or twenty. Whatever the song needs is what it gets from Nick and then some, his feel and his sound are second to none and he is a true student of his instrument and his craft. He has played the local scene in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania for over 10 years with bands such as Which Ways West, Dear Anna and most recently the Big Empty. He brings knowledge, level headedness and an open demeanor to the Moondogs world and is a very important part of why this band chugs along the way it does. Nick brings a solid backbone to harmony singing as well as lead with his  rich and tonal voice and is a specialist when it comes to singing those songs you can't help but singing along with.

Mike Bustamante, was the guitar player Nick found when the Moondogs first formed and from the start the two had a musical connection that transcended, playing and even listening. It was an awareness for the others musical thoughts that they were able to translate instantly whether it be, picking a setlist, finding a sound, singing harmony or writing songs. Mike and Nick had "it", two pieces were in place and it started to happen, the work began towards building an ensemble around what was already in bloom. Mike Bustamante a New Jersey native played on the scene with bands such as Stepping Stone, Waking the Neighbors and the Tin Souls. He's played along with NY Based guitarist and songwriter John Baab and for a short time played with local Recording Artist Hunter Monroe out of Stroudsburg PA. Mike brings the gritty blues edge to the Moondogs sound, whether its singing or playing Mike does his best to service the music and accompanied by Nicks talents the sound began to grow.

Ruben Ariola came at a time when the Moondogs needed him most. He has the greatest talent any drummer can have...Time! And not the kind you waste staring at Facebook all year, the kind that can only be born inside of you and the kind that can make even the man at the back of a concert hall tap his foot or bob his head. He's a busy man and rightfully so! His silky smooth high tenor voice compliments the other two in perfect harmony and his playing precedes him, his resume is endless and always growing. The true testament to a great band is the man behind the drums and Ruben sits high with all of the greatest. He is a true musical treasure, bringing feel and groove in spades and keeping his style in a constant state of evolution, there is no denying the power Ruben brings to this 3-piece whether it be a raucous rock groove, the backbeat Motown feel or his innate ability to add the perfect percussive edge. Ruben has played with everybody from New York to Pennsylvania everywhere in-between and most places around.  In fact the Moondogs were a better band then they had imagined the day he walked through the door. His professional attitude, work ethic and originality are second to none and having his knowledge and experience has not only aided in the Moondogs full transformation from kicking around to kicking ass, it has also guided the direction steadily and with perfect time, Ruben's specialty.
