Bio
Molly started her career in her corner bedroom teaching herself to play the guitar and singing alone. She grew up in the mountainous countryside of Vermont, and when she was a teenager her family moved to Boston where she explored and embraced the city's flourishing music scene. She then began writing her own music while attending college in Maine as a mental escape from classwork. Molly soon began to make her music heard, and credits her confidence in performing to busking on the streets of the infamous Back Bay and making her rounds in the open mic scene.
Music runs through the veins of generations of her family. Her father, a Berklee alumnus, encouraged his kids to take music lessons, explore new instruments, and exposed them to musicians like James Taylor, Carole King, Simon and Garfunkle, and Fleetwood Mac. Her two sisters are also talented vocalists, frequently backing Molly up on stage creating a beautiful and sometimes haunting blend of voices.
Molly has been featured on Mix 104.1's "15 seconds of fame," is frequently played on the local radio stations, and has played at a number of festivals including MUSIKFEST.
In 2015 she released her debut EP "Seasons" recorded at 37' studios (Sean McLaughlin) and is currently working on a full length album.
The music and rhythms were influenced heavily by modern folk, pop, and rock artists such as Ingrid Michaelson, Tristan Prettyman, Brandi Carlile, and Peter Bradley Adams.
