Bio
Born and raised in Northern New Jersey, Mezzy Shredder is a veteran of the NJ metal scene and is looking to bring things to the next level.
Mezzy's played over 200 shows in his life and has led the charge in the popular New Jersey metal band Warhorse from 2008-2010. Some of Warhorse’s memorable shows included Jaggfest 2010, Starland Ballroom, the 2015 New Jersey Food Truck Festival, and have shared the stage with God Forbid, Kitty, and Periphery. Mezzy has also played shows at the world famous Dingbatz Nightclub, hosted by living legends of metal Eddie Trunk, Don Jameson and Jim Florentine.
Having been invited to audition for the role of Bass guitar in Black Label Society around 2010, Mezzy decided to stay true to his guitar roots, and continue his pursuit of building a professional guitar career. In 2018 he designed a YouTube show called, "Mezzy Shredder's Metal Moment”. During the show, Mezzy discusses various topics of rock and metal today. At the end of each episode, he offers some simple, but sound, advice before he shreds his way out of the segment.
Mezzy’s music has been released on numerous compilation albums via Versailles Records in Nashville TN. Mezzy appears on Guitar Wizards Volumes 1&2, which were released in 2013. Although there are other well-known musicians included in the CD set, Mezzy's song was chosen to lead off the second album thanks to its high-energy ferociousness. He is also on the Alice Cooper Tribute CD, "A Tribute To Alice Cooper" (Versailles Records, ©2016).
Mezzy has a strong social media following on Facebook, and is gaining steam on Instagram as well, due in part to his ability to excel at Street Team Performance. His extremely positive attitude and willingness to help others is what the world could use more of right now. Those who know Mezzy Shredder are already aware of his good nature and prowess on guitar, but now he’s set his sights on attaining global recognition.
