Bio

The story of Metafisix begins in 2002 when he first picked up a pen to write his music. What started as a tool used to impress women quickly turned into a passion of the young artist. Inspired by artists like Little Brother, Talib Kweli and De La Soul, Fisix penned and released his first project at the age of 17. While it didn’t garner a huge buzz, it did attract the right people to help further his career. From that point on, he would go onto releasing a collaborative album with DJ Metronix called “Insomniacs” in 2008 along with numerous mixtapes that facilitated radio play at local El Paso, TX station Power 102 KPRR.

After linking with FnDannyboy in 2009 to form Thrillo Riley, Fisix went on to build a working relationship with nationally recognized remixer DJ Kue who featured him on huge remixes for Foster The People, Nicki Minaj, Cee Lo, Gotye, and ZEDD. These songs, along with original material from the two, have accumulated over 400,000 plays through various streaming sites. The music of Metafisix has also been played on major market radio stations spanning from BBC1 in the United Kingdom to Z103.5 in Toronto and throughout the United States.

Since then, Fisix has released "Revolving Doors". This full length record gained acclaim throughout the southwest while yielding videos for the songs "Play The Hand" and "Hot Nuts". The project continues to be well received and Fisix continues to perform at different venues through his hometown and abroad. Meta had the privilege of performing at the 2nd Annual Sun City Music Festival in 2012, sharing the stage with the likes of ZEDD, David Guetta, Knife Party, and more.

Currently, Fisix is busy promoting his first nationwide, digital release in "I Clearly Have Things To Learn". The album was released on January 1, 2016 to an overwhelmingly positive reception. The music video for "Look Up" is in the works and more visuals for the album will follow in 2016.
