Bio
mayheaven is one of the musical faces of musician Ian Mahoney-Hoover. Raised by folk musicians and seasoned by years in DIY punk and metal scenes in the Northeast, Hoover, as mayheaven, makes music that is equally indebted to the rich songwriting of American troubadours as well as the texture and feeling of ambient and drone music. Layers of shimmering guitars, folk instruments, and warm synthesizers give depth to Hoover's warm, yet lonesome baritone, creating a wistful, dreamy melange of cosmic American music.
