Marwood's Fall is a hard-hitting, melodic rock band from Chicago, IL. The band draws from a variety of influences, but the most obvious are staples of the hard rock and metal scene. Bands such as Tool, Breaking Benjamin, Brand New, and the Deftones have been formative in their writing, to name only a few. Like these bands, Marwood's Fall strives to capture the aggression of hard rock and metal while still presenting strong melodies and substantive lyrics.
The band started in 2009 as a quartet, but brothers Matthew Danaher(guitar) and David Danaher (vocals) and drummer John Eggan experienced a rocky start, investing two years into a doomed recording attempt and experiencing a number of lineup changes. A determined second effort saw the three successfully complete their debut EP, "Restitution," with producer Mike Notaro of Elephant Ears Recording. Matthew, David, and John were soon joined by friend Ben Peterson (bass). With a new line-up and a recording in tow, the band has hit the stage with its infectious hooks and driving riffs, hoping to revitalize hard rock music in Chicago.
