Malcolm FL3X, a hip hop artists that focuses primarily on heavy lyricism and a well structured flow. He found his love for songwriting and rapping in his early teen days when freestyle rapping with his cousin and brother. They would sit in a circle late nights and freestyle for hours. FL3X considers freestyling not only fun, but an exercise as well. "It's like going to the gym", he says. He moved to Charleston, SC from Montgomery, AL at the age of 14 where he started high school. Being the new kid on the block, he had to find friends with similar interest and started expanding his network. Over time he, his brother, and cousin would send each other songs that they recorded over their phones just for fun and to master their craft.
Fast forward to 2019, when Malcolm decided to take his talents with rapping and make something out of it. He released his first single, along with a music video called, "Stand Tall". His fast flow and aggressive style showed the city how different he was than most rappers around. Although he "grew out of that stage", his music still has a much different feel from most of the artist within reach. Malcolm FL3X recently found a producer that he connects with and they created what Malcolm describes as "my favorite song", titled "High Demand", where he delivers a slower flow and strong lyrics over heavy drums with a sample that "feels like heaven".
Malcolm FL3X has continued his journey doing lots of shows, opening up for acts such as Big Boogie, Soulja Boy, Kevin Gates and more, as well as throwing his own local shows. "I plan to continue providing designer quality music and the best shows possible".
