Luna Ravenhair. What a moniker. What name could you tag such a musical adventure as only she could offer. It was a feast of many flavors. Glorious rock n’ folk with a glimpse of new age presence. This beautiful vocalist had such a range, a depth of lyrical diversions. Her rock spirituals, the new age, folkie ballads of what-if and destiny, all of it stirs one soul. Ravenhair has daydreams that each of us can relate to. She has the answer to the un-answered questions. Yet, she’s the one that dares to sing about that eternal longing for ‘someone to play me a love song in bed.’ The song of the city? It was a stirring anthem about living in “Stumptown” that had us all ready to move out. Bio
Luna Ravenhair is an Antifolk/Lite Rock/New Age singer/songwriter based in Phoenix, Arizona. She is a New Englander by birth but grew up in many locales and is especially fond of Portland, Oregon. Taking an interest in music from an early age, she began with keyboards and expanded to a wide range of instruments. Luna's powerful, operatic mezzo soprano voice sings straight from the heart. In 2013 she began a lifetime of formal music training and is always exploring and enhancing her talents.
Luna currently plays piano, guitar, harmonica, bass, drums, ukulele, recorder, clarinet, and keyboards.
In addition to making music, Luna is a gardener, synaesthete, a cat person, a vegan, a transwoman, and an advocate for human rights.
