Bio
Luis Sabor is a singer/guitarist specializing in songs in English from the 60's & 70's and songs in Spanish from many eras. Luis began his career as a bassist and sound engineer in Austin Texas during the late '80s and early '90s, working at Austin Records & Austin's Riverside Sound. He also built, owned and was chief engineer at Breakfast Surreal Studio. In 1996 Luis moved to Tucson Arizona, his base for 18 years while traveling extensively in Latin America. His music repertoire is heavily influenced by the time spent in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Ecuador & Peru. Perhaps the most influential experience was a month spent in Havana Cuba, studying dance and the percussion instrument "Guiro". In 2012 Luis began performing as a solo singer/guitarist with up to 4 hours of songs in English and Spanish. Designing his show specifically for dining establishments, Luis played in Tucson at locations such as Sullivans Steak House, Monterey Court, and Delectables on 4th Ave. Returning to his hometown of Victoria Texas, he has performed at The Pumphouse, Los Reyes, and El Norteno restaurants. Luis Sabor has become a regular performer at Pier 99 in Corpus Christi Texas. He is also contracted regularly for political fundraisers in Austin, as well as weddings and other private events in the Crossroads area. In 2016 Luis released a self-titled CD which is available digitally on all the major music vending sites, and since has released a number of singles.
