"Little Geronimo - Kingdoms"

Little Geronimo is a Jacksonville-based five-piece that fuses a menagerie of genres including modern-day pop, indie, post-hardcore, and arena rock. This fusion is eclectic and infectious, at times reminiscent of the more emotive bands on Blue Swan Records. The band’s sound is the exact midpoint between accessible and experimental, putting huge choruses and vocal patterns
front and center with cathartic splashes of guitar and drums interspersed throughout. To a casual listener, they might sound like an indie-rock group with an added flair but if you pay attention you can feel the culmination of their influences permeate the songwriting. - Sunshine Underground Podcast

Celebration’ is the debut album from Florida math-pop act Little Geronimo. Coming out May 20th on Spirit Vision Records, it is an expansion of the stunning, dynamic, and entertaining sound they have spent half a decade focusing and refining. Between the sparkling guitar tapping, sharp and driving drum work, grooving basslines, spectacular vocal performance, and touches of electronic production that elevate the experience, the band’s first record is masterfully orchestrated.
From theatrical, grandiose tracks like “I Think It’s Time” and “Blunts, Wine, and True Crime” to harder hitting songs like “Celebration” to anthemic sing-a-longs like “I’m Fine” to collaboration “Faded At The Symphony” with Andrés, ‘Celebration’ is full of notable tracks. From song to song it takes every listener on a journey through relationship development, uncertainty, and the fluorescence of young love.
The end result of this record is us seeing an up-and-comer at their first iteration of fully actualized sound. Every person in the project is operating at full capacity and every single song shows it off beautifully. It is charismatic, charming, and saccharine. ‘Celebration’ comes across as exactly how it is titled, a 40-minute party celebrating everything that makes being in love so spectacular.
Every element of this record is paired dutifully with one another. It was recorded with Josh Cobb at Rockbot Studios in Jacksonville, FL, and the amount of precision they have with every note is mind-blowing. The artwork was done by Brandon David and David Kennedy, the vocalist and drummer of the band respectively, and the display of the sonic journey the record takes you on across its ten tracks is gorgeous.
Another element was getting to partner with Spirit Vision Records, a label run by Ben Rosett of Strawberry Girls and Eternity Forever fame, to release it. As someone who knows the genres they pull from well and someone they have shared the stage with, Ben was a perfect fit for them. ‘Celebration’ will be the beginning of something massive for Little Geronimo, and all it takes is one listen to know.
‘Celebration’ is out May 20th, 2022 on Spirit Vision Records.

Still working on that hot first release.

Little Geronimo’s debut full-length ‘Celebration’ is out May 20th via Spirit Vision Records

Little Geronimo is Brandon David (vocals), David Kennedy (drums), Adam Rohrer (guitar), and Turner Payan (bass).

When you merge pop sensibility with intricate instrument work, skillful melody, and technical savvy you receive an end product like Little Geronimo. Self-proclaimed math-pop, their sound contains much more dynamic and captivating structure than standard pop formulas but has more charisma and catchiness than your traditional math rock band.

With a sound that has so much diversity and individuality, their influence pool has more than most, citing artists like Dance Gavin Dance, CHON, Strawberry Girls, Cher, and The Fall Of Troy as just a handful of artists that are their inspirations. Synth work and samples are woven into a tapping, glittering guitar sound to make something blissful, smooth, and indulgent. That production value and devotion to detail give them a softened style with sharp precision.

Formed in Jacksonville, Florida, Little Geronimo have been working to make a huge name for themselves one step at a time. Brandon and David met in 2014 and started working together on demos. As the rest of the band came together, they worked on and released their first EP in 2017 and immediately started playing shows regionally, garnering attention for their energetic and interactive live performances. They began to share the stage with influences of theirs and broader artists like Bilmuri, Strawberry Girls, Flipturn, and eventual collaborator Andrés.

As they started pushing forward, they shifted their focus to a larger product. Being sure to take their time and craft the best product possible, they released a couple of singles over the next few years, all with an accompanying music video. Their visual aids and knack for earworm melodies started to gain them traction and secure them a strong following.

Working behind the scenes of releasing those singles, they were carefully assembling a first album and partnered with Ben Rosett (of Strawberry Girls and Eternity Forever) and his label Spirit Vision Records to release it. Recorded with Josh Cobb at Rockbot Studios in their hometown of Jacksonville, ‘Celebration’ is an expansion on Little Geronimo’s story and a proper piece to usher in the start of what is sure to be a massive career.
