Bio
Lint is a young band trying to get out of the laundromat dryer and into the local Chicago suburban music scene. The band’s members-vocalist Mike Rueth, guitarists Nick Rueth and Jack O’Hare, bassist Harry Lacy, and drummer Colin Smith-come from diverse music backgrounds ranging from pop to jazz to metal. The five members met at St. Francis High School, where many of them have played together for two or three years. The crunchy and occasionally fuzzy guitars complement Rueth’s raw, poppy vocals and the band’s ever-tight rhythm section. In addition, the band plays modern covers such as “My Hero” by the Foo Fighters, but also rock classics like “All Along the Watchtower” as played by Jimi Hendrix. Lint possesses an unrivaled rawness and eagerness for performance that only a passionate young band can bring to the local music scene.
