Bama boy Lil Nardy drops this healthy southern fried mixtape Up In Smoke. I have to say their is not one weak track on the entire project which features production from Taylor Gangs Cardo, Sledgren and more. Hosted by DJ Burn One. - Elevator Magazine
Lil' Nardy dropped Up in Smoke back in September and I'm still grooving to it. It's a perfect project to play really late at the night, before the sun rises, when you're trying to stay awake to see the light. Nardy's brand new video, “Smokin' & Plottin'”, was a particular standout from this project. Produced by Cardo, the video throws plenty of imagery your way, all over some static and melted film, giving you the impression that you just put in a blank VHS and it could be anything. Candles, flags on fire, lumberjack swag, and bandana propaganda swirl through this video, all with a vivid red tint to it. Makes me want to watch the movie Traffic for some reason. Directed by LeXander Bryant of ORGNZD, this is something that Dead Prez might play when they need to get ready for work. “No jewels, but I glow where the light shine. No lie, bitches watch me like Lifetime.” While the video is dark and guerilla-style, the lyrics are inspirational. The chorus is perfect to rap along to and be uplifted. “Smokin' 'til the sunup, plottin' on the come-up.” A track to get you to start dancing like Lil' Nardy at the very end of the video. Enjoy and revisit one of the better southern rap albums from 2013. Here's hoping that Nardy does a video for “Down (The Rolling Stoner II).” Roll up. - Mishka NYC
Today we’re very proud to present Lil Nardy’s new mixtape, Up In Smoke, hosted by DJ Burn One. The tape features production7 appearances from Burn One, Cardo, ST 2 Lettaz, Sledgren, Young Shun & more. Trust us, you don’t want to sleep on this project. - Dirty Glove Bastard
For some reason every time I remember the 1995 movie “Smoke” and never more was this relevent until I was in New York with this blasting in my ears. Now while this movie and this project have little to zero parallels the style of music and memories do. When I was growing up I remember sitting down and hearing my first taste of southern rap and it was UGK “Pocket Full of Stones” on a cassette I stole from a friends cousin. I’ll never forget this movie playing in the background while I was taking the cassette and now looking back this all seems entirely ridiculously, but I get a great sense of nostalgia now when I hear this project and “Pocket Full of Stones”. Regardless this tape is fire and besides having the coveted DJ Burn One stamp its also ride and headphones approved. Don’t sleep. - OG Mattress Co.
Alabama is filled with rappers who have what it takes to dominate the game. Lil Nardy is included in this list of artists and today he dropped his Up In Smoke mixtape, which is hosted by DJ Burn One. The mixtape features appearances from ST 2 Lettaz, Raz Fresco, and many more. - Hip Hop Vibe
No, Booth newcomer Lil Nardy wasn’t vacationing in Chernobyl this summer. That pale light emanating from the Mobile, Alabama emcee’s body is The Glow of impending stardom. On this street-ready cut, the inaugural release off his next mixtape, a booming DBeatz production backs the artist as he flaunts his God-given talents and cuts his competition down to size. He delivers his braggadocio and trash-talk with a revolutionary political twist, comparing himself to “a Black Panther with a pistol,” and telling rivals, “I’m more like Marcus Garvey, y’all n**gas like Steve Harvey.” S.T. 2 Lettaz, the G-Side alum who brought us The G back in February, contributes a larger-than-life guest 16. Has The Glow left you craving more? Then keep it locked for further singles leading up to the September 30, release of Lil Nardy’s forthcoming, DJ Burn One/Dirty Glove Bastard-hosted street album, Up in Smoke. - DJBooth.net

Lil Nardy out of Mobile dropped one of our favorite & probably one of the more overlooked projects of 2013 in Up In Smoke. Well he’s back today with a crazy new track “Get Up Off Me” that is produced by Stunt N Dozier. We definitely recommend checking this one out & we hope there’s more new music on the way. - Dirty Glove Bastard
Lil Nardy’s haunting tune “Get Up Off Me”, produced by Stunt N Dozier has been stuck in my head all week, so I’m posting it. The Alabama rapper has a mixtape out too, go check that out. - Juke Box DC
