A’Shon was born and raised in Vallejo, California. Growing up he was deemed a "nerd," and his family struggled financially. Fashion became socially important, but he couldn’t afford the designer those around him were wearing. This pushed A’Shon to look towards a local drug dealer, who took A’Shon under his wing at the early age of twelve. Whenever A’Shon tried to stop the lifestyle; his life was threatened, forcing him to continue to sell drugs.

A’Shon was introduced to gangs, guns, and violence after he froze during a shooting and a stranger died to save him. A’Shon vowed to never let someone die because of him again. Depressed because of the deep situation, A’Shon abused alcohol and marijuana to ease the pain. After doing a few favors, he saw an opportunity to leave the lifestyle and move to Texas.

The move to Texas was a struggle. Suffering from withdrawal and guilt from past, A’Shon experienced a mental breakdown. It was in his brokenness that he created a being; dedicated to personal reform, while discovering music as a substitute outlet for his pain.

The person you hear in his music, who raps with passion. Who speaks with clarity of his future, and wisdom from a brutal past. The person who only can speak and express himself through music is Life Of A’Shon.
