Lauren St.Jane playing The 567 Center's "Stories and Songwriters" on Friday Nov. 9th... - The 11th Hour Macon's Entertainment Weekly,
Most know country legend Conway Twitty for his iconic voice and such hits as “Hello Darlin’” and “You’ve Never Been This Far Before.” But not many are aware that he also penned a Christmas carol. Written under his given name, Harold Jenkins, “Snow for Johnny” is a heartwarming holiday greeting that proved Conway wasn’t just the premier balladeer of his generation.
The song, most famously recorded by Burl Ives, gets a folksy spin from Georgia country group Lauren St. Jane and the Dead Westerns on the terrific new charity holiday album A Rock by the Sea Christmas: Volume 3. The organization Rock by the Sea aims to produce music festivals and events to benefit cancer charities, including this year’s beneficiary, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Program at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando, Fla. - Country Weekly
The band’s approach to country — contemporary fire combined with loyalty to tradition; the sass and boldness of a Southern girl on the mic intertwined with some musicianship by a couple of guitarists who play to the strengths of their singer and the demands of the song — is likely to win over a number of new fans. - Steve Wildsmith, The Daily Times Knoxville

Bio
LAUREN ST.JANE
From the southern roots of
Georgia comes Lauren St. Jane with her own combination of Country swagger and
Americana rock. This fiery, female-fronted band offers a raw sound complimented
by strong, alluring vocals, ripping licks, and lyrics you'd expect from a true
redhead.
Lauren's hard work doesn't go unnoticed and it was only a matter of time before
she found herself in a studio, onstage while touring with bands such as Paul
McDonald (American Idol) and The Grand Magnolias, playing packed- out shows in
clubs and college towns.
The EP "American Dreams" debuted in 2011 and three months later Lauren was playing for CNN at SXSW. "American Dreams" has been the catalyst that led her to share the stage with the likes of Alabama, Diamond Rio, Craig Morgan, NEEDTOBREATHE, Shawn Mullins, and Chuck Cannon as well as performing at Turner Field's Atlanta Brave's Stadium.
Look for the emotive and picturesque storybook song, "Wreckage" to bring a tear to your eye, only to then be inspired to take off and make your own way by the up-tempo title song, "American Dreams". Heart-wrenching inspiration, prolific writing and a dire dedication to the craft of country combine to ignite the blaze behind the EP and the live show.
In both song and show, Lauren St. Jane is a collective drink that goes down smooth but leaves a beckoning burn for more - a classic country shot with a modern Americana aftertaste.
