Although born in California, Lauren’s unique voice has captured audiences around the world. From congested street bars in Thailand to international fundraising events at Museo Guayasamin in Quito, Ecuador – she has stylishly blended her worldly travels and musical composition. Lauren’s sultry, warm voice, distinctive finger picking technique and wide variety of songs allows her music to transcend genres and attract even the most selective of listeners. Her songs, heartfelt and manifestly poetic, illuminate upon the bittersweet essence of the human condition, where love, pain and beauty are intricately interweaved into our everyday lives.
Hi, Lauren here. My musical journey began at age 6 when I began taking piano lessons. Years later while participating in fancy Bach fesitvals and classical concerts I needed a more creative outlet for music. I taught myself guitar at 14 and began writing songs. I now perform with acoustic and electric guitar during shows and occasionally piano. I compare my sound to the likes of Feist, Lissie, Ingrid Michaelson, and Regina Spektor. It's been quite a ride so far. I have played around the world during my travels abroad. I was named RAW Artists 2013 Musician of the Year (Ventura Chapter) and have won Song of the Month with West Coast Songwriters. I also opened for Goapele at The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco last year for a Christmas benefit concert!
