Larkspur
Stand, playing Americana jams with elements of folk and
blues, which are great ingredients to leave room for a little rock on the side,
and always plenty of room for some energetic bluegrass! Performing original
tunes and songs with followings much older than the sum of the band’s parts. Original tunes written by Jake Soto on guitar and harmonica, his writing
and playing is always expanding from influences brought in by the other members
of the band. Nat Berliner is on the upright bass, he energizes the instrument
with the styles that flow from his lead guitar playing with local Bend favorite
Natty Red. Nat brings his past blues playing into the mix by extenuating the
instrumentals and jams with that je ne sais quoi we all love to hear in the
bass. Garrett Miller clearly brings in bluegrass elements with his diverse banjo
abilities and country vocals, and has the energy and vibe to bring on the jams
when the mood is right. Last, but not least, Bob Morris, the band’s truest Central
Oregonian local is on the spoons, need we say more…
