"Freshman List 2017"

Over the past year and a half, Gastonia, North Carolina-based artist K¥NG has released two free projects, Anonymous and The Field of Wheat, and a retail EP, Aura. And he’s still a teenager.

K¥NG’s work ethic and high-energy, melodic music will take him far.

When did you decide that you wanted to pursue music?

At an early age, I knew that music had to be my heart's passion. I grew up singing in the choir at church, then later on taking band in school and writing music. By the age of 13, I knew that this was a calling I could not refuse, and, ever since, God has used me and my music in ways I could have never imagined possible.

What has been the most memorable moment of your career so far?

Some of the most memorable experiences during my career thus far would be pinpointed to two milestones God has allowed me to achieve this past year. One of these moments: Being featured in the "Know That's Me" music video with Deraj. Another would have to be opening up for Canon and GAWVI this past December.

What should fans be on the lookout for musically from you in 2017?

I would say definitely more music videos, shows and overall great quality music. Who knows, maybe even some more major news. - Rapzilla

Unforgiveness (Engineered by Indi500) is K¥NG's latest single from his
upcoming project 'Aura' available on all digital realtors December 6th
2016 . Infused with grimy baselines that emphasize progressive melodic
phrases. K¥NG personifies the emotional peril left from unresolved bitterness.
Based upon the scripture ( Mark 11:25) "And when you stand praying,
if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in
heaven may forgive you your sins.” Unforgiveness highlights the importance of
examining ones own heart.

No More L's (Produced by Accent Beats) is K¥NG's latest single off his up and coming project entitled the "Field Of Wheat". Highlighting the realm of emotions felt while experiencing traumatic loss"No more L's" is the resonating anthem dedicated to resiliency. Based off the scripture (Romans 8:38-39) " I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come ;will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord". K¥NG boasts within the suppression of loss knowing that his victory is already within Christ himself.

K¥NG is a 19 year old musical artist fluent with various instruments. He resides in North-Carolina with his single mother. Forced to grow alone lacking the shadow of a father figure.

K¥NG searched for fulfilling thrills of lust addiction and deception which led to his downfall. Today through his music K¥NG crosses over to various genres of music in relation to youth to prove “God is in all things and you don’t have to lose all just to serve him”. Living everyday to the fullest his motto is “L.R.D.R” ( Live Right Die Ready).
