Peep It!
JoJo Fabs: Let us know who Kidd Wes is and who is he in the Hip Hop scene?
Kidd Wes: Kidd Wes is each and every one of us, when minds are open. In the Hip Hop scene I am a rebel encouraging others to break barriers any way they can.
JoJo Fabs: Influences carry a lot in the craft, what are your major influences when you’re writing/recording your music?
Kidd Wes: For me it really depends on the atmosphere. I really try to record everything from emotion since I don’t write. It can be a number of different things: First the beat, next could be the people I’m working with, and maybe a little Hennessy wouldn’t hurt either (laughs).

JoJo Fabs: You recent project “Young World” is a diversity of many tastes How did this project come about and how can the listeners relate?
Kidd Wes: The project was random really. It took me about a week to complete. I was working on my album, but decided to take a different route and put out free music, which essentially turned into Youngworld. I believe the people can relate to this album, because for every genre of hip-hop there is something for everyone with a message in between. So if you’re fan of conscious, trap, love, etc. There is something in mind for you.
JoJo Fabs: Now this question might be out of random but if you were to do a performance in front of a crowd that has never heard your music how would you present yourself to them?
Kidd Wes: Probably in the crowd, or close to them as possible (laughs), I consider my shows a conversation. So at the end of the performance you leave with a friend and not a fan.

JoJo Fabs: Hip Hop grows every day and you come across new artist constantly how did you find this genre to be the one you master?
Kidd Wes: When I was in middle school, I rapped so I wouldn’t get picked on, but from the first rhyme people told me I should take it serious, and so I did, and made it a passion. I lived it, studied it, and became it to master it.
JoJo Fabs: We live in a community were youth looks up to the music industry how do you feel our music can reflect to youth?
Kidd Wes: I’m not a conscious type of guy, but aside from all fun I have on my records, I do try to leave a bit of morality on my projects. I am responsible for what I say and since the youth are listening I really try to leave them on a positive but real outlook on my music.

JoJo Fabs: What other projects do you have in store after “Young World” any locations where we can catch a live performance?
Kidd Wes: The next project I have is called “Eleven” it’s a more personal side to Wes, for all of those who haven’t been formally introduced. As for future shows, all dates can be found on my website (www.KiddWes.com) or my songkick.

Young World is a return to the most basic principles of hip-hop, the art of storytelling and lyricism with a backdrop of lush/boom bap productions. Wes doesn't invent a new genre here, but what he does, he does better than most. The album's first single, "Pause” is a typical braggadocio hip-hop cut, where Wes notifies listeners of the line between run-of-the-mill rappers and himself.
On other standouts, like “Memoirs of a Gold Chain,” Wes rhymes about his frustrations with past friends who fell short of the goal right at the finish line. “They know who they are,” he laughs. “Tell Me,” featuring Miami's singer-songwriter Jovie, is a woeful duet that about love and heart break. - Altsounds.com
An emcee that calls the film, “Pursuit of Happyness” his life story, Kidd Wes is getting ready for the release of his debut album, “Young World.” Based out of Miami but with stints in Houston and Detroit, his musical influences is evident when you listen to his music. In his music, the emcee is not trying to invent a new genre but rather, doing what everyone does better. Take a listen to the track above and you be the judge. - Jason Chang

Kidd Wes doesnt leave us a long time without his talented lyrics, as the movement Young World grows day by day we see Kidd Wes delivery nothing but the best music.
