Kevin DeWayne Jackson is an American rapper and songwriter. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, he embarked on his musical journey under his real name Kevin Jackson. Kevin started a collective with his friends called c.a.m.p which stands for
creating.and.manifesting.purpose. Kevin Jackson has written songs for a few up and coming artist, and has had the chance to work with people like Prince, Will.i.Am, Nicki Minaj, Neyo, and Zendaya. Kevin Jackson is looked at as a poet and thinker piecing together clear flows to paint vivid pictures, which is why he became a lyricist in the first place. His fascination with words and wordplay allows him to voice his opinion and share his thoughts musically. For him it's about the art in the music and he hopes to always inspire never impress. A quote he came up with is “it's not about being the chosen one it's about being one with what you're chosen to do” and for him that is what his music will convey.
