Kee LaShaun

Oklahoma City recording artist Kee LaShaun was born Ikeesha Foreman in Galveston,TX on March 7, 1990. After being born in Texas, Kee LaShaun was soon moved to Oklahoma City after birth to be raised by her grandparents. Growing up in a household that constantly had music, it was inevitable that Kee herself would become fond of music and being in the spot light. At the age of 10 her grandfather purchased her first songwriter`s book for her to write her own lyrics and begin singing. After years of singing in the choir as a youth also doing school talent shows & show choir, Kee eventually found an interest in rapping and expanded her talents. For years unbeknownst to friends and family Kee was secretly writing songs and planning on pursuing music. Although Kee is a single mom of two young kids she uses music as her outlet and form of release juggling the image of a female rap artist and a loving mommy. Kee LaShaun who constantly reminds herself "Quantity over Quality" has been working on her upcoming mix tape 'Servin In Some Heels' for over two years. "I feel that music isn't rushed, artists we create all the time but everything can't be in the project. So I take my time." Kee says about her view on music projects. Servin In Some Heels is scheduled to release July 2014 and her debut album 'Half Pints & Half Truths' which has a Spring 2015 date in the works.
