The celestially influenced lyricist, avant-garde vocalist is inspired by, the nature of things, love, kindred divinity and revelations in every soul experience. From Kai Anerahs you may find some resonance with the likes of Ladybug Mecca, Queen Latifah, Billie Holiday , Minnie Riperton, and Erykah Badu. Kai's music is a philosophical revival with a psychedelic hip hop, neo-soul flare.
Growing up in the 90's with the wave of rapid technological advancement Kai Anerahs always pushed her view of the world as well as her world unseen and beyond. To express this she nurtured her passion for riddles, metaphors, graphics and digital art. Aiding in grasping her unique perspective, at age 8 she developed an affection for amusement parks. In the words of her dad after her first roller coaster "I created a monster". The thrill fed her mature philosophical thoughts of mortality.
Battling a chronic alternative perspective to reality her whole childhood, as a young adult Kai began owning her dreams and visions. Introducing herself to the abstract other-side of her creativity as it relates to the built environment, she studied at 4 different universities learning interior design and architecture. She began designing her future performance sets, producing music and art. From freshman year recording in closet studios to cosmic studios, to reaching stages in DMV, NC and ATL she found a median between the collective world and her imagination and to her that means the stars and beyond.
