"Static Dive"

Junior Boogie is the professional name of California bluesman Jeremy Heinemann. A staple of the Sonoma music scene, the harmonica player has played with some of the biggest names in Blues and Rock & Roll. He performed for many years as a founding member of the popular Rockbottom Blues band. In 2007 he embarked on a solo career. As both a band member and band leader, he has shared the stage with legends like The Doobie Brothers, Los Lobos, Dick Dale, Robert Cray, Taj Mahal, and Gregg Rolie.

“Wingo Moon” is the brand new album from Junior Boogie, released worldwide to all major streaming services on December 20, 2021. The ten song collection finds the singer and his band collaborating with a number of fellow veterans of the Sonoma scene including; Lucas Domingue of T-Luke and the Tight Suits, Beau Bradbury of the California Honeydrops and engineer/producer Matt McDavid of Sanctuary Sound Studio. They were joined by Sean Schena (bass), Grant Harrington (guitar), Cliff Zyskowski (keys), and Alex Garcia (saxophone).

“Put the Bait on the Line” is the lead track and current single from Junior Boogie’s ‘Wingo Moon.’ An ensemble consisting of electric and acoustic guitars, bass and drums back up Jeremy as he delivers a fun New Orleans-flavored 12-bar ‘goin fishin’ Blues. The track has a great live, organic groove recorded with a fantastic natural room sound. It’s a fun tune, and at the heart of the party is Junior Boogie and his smokin’ Blues harp.

"Sonoma Music Review"

Junior Boogie
Local blues harmonica player Junior Boogie has been bestowed quite an award. Boogie has been named the “Bay Area Blues Societies West Coast Hall of Fame Blues Harmonica Player of the year for 2012.” Boogie grew up in Sonoma and watching his buddies parents play, folks like Rick Binkley and Norton Buffalo, were his inspiration. Although Boogie played piano and guitar, he just kept coming back to playing the harmonica. “I like that I can just carry it around in my pocket” said Boogie. Boogie plays Seydel Harmonicas. He is being presented the award this Sunday, March 25, at 6 p.m. at the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame Awards Show that is being held at the Oakland Airport Hilton. Boogie is bringing with him an all-star band of locals to perform with him that night, including Tommy Thomsen, Wendy Dewitt, Codi Binkley, David Aguilar, Raymond Jones, Keith Ridenhour and more. Bio

Born in Sonoma, California, Junior Boogie has established himself as one of the West Coast's most sought after blues harmonica players. From relocating to Santa Cruz in the ‘90s and now based in Sonoma CA, he has quickly risen to become a prominent musical fixture across the region. With a sound defined by stripped back grooves, unforgettable harmonica lines, and signature swagger, Junior Boogie has earned his place alongside blues and rock royalty. His impressive career includes opening for legends such as Johnny Winter, Dr. John, Elvin Bishop, Leon Russell, and Robert Earl Keen. Not only that, but his collaborative spirit has led to stages shared with icons like Big Brother And The Holding Company, Roy Rogers, Norman Greenbaum, and Freddie Roulette. In 2012, Junior's exceptional harmonica skills were recognized with a prestigious award from the Bay Area Blues Society. That same year, he contributed to the final recordings of the late rock and blues legend Kathi McDonald. His 2021 album "Wingo Moon" showcases collaborations with respected musicians from the Sonoma scene, including members of T-Luke and the Tight Suits and the California Honeydrops. Offstage, Junior's musical versatility shines through his own productions, where he can be seen brewing up reggae, cumbia, and hip-hop tracks in his home studio. Recent collaborations include singles with Junior Toots (son of Toots Hibbert), Kid Andersen and Dale Ockerman (of the Doobie Brothers). Additionally, his forthcoming work is set to feature Laza Morgan (of Morgan Heritage fame). Whether commanding the stage with the harmonica or producing tracks in his studio, Junior Boogie creates music that moves people, both physically and emotionally. His commitment to authentic expression and irresistible rhythms continues to cement his reputation as a vital forcein contemporary blues, carrying forward its tradition while carving out his own path.
