Josie James, age 18, said that everyone at match records has been supportive of her journey since joining the program.
Her set for the showcase included covers by two of her favorite artists: “Gravity” by John Mayer and “Cherry” by Amy Winehouse.
She is currently working on a music video for her biggest song “Gym Rat” as it recently hit 17,000 streams.

Bio
Josie James is an Atlanta native singer/songwriter. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Dave Matthews, Madison Cunningham, and Vulfpeck, she incorporates her musical ear and guitar skills into her songs. With her musical career starting at just 11 years old, she recorded her first EP at Itchy Brain Studios. Her involvement in music spanned while she was in school as she worked with her peers playing in various bands, leading worship services, playing guitar in jazz band, and bass in pit orchestra and the marching band. She wrote and recorded her first album on her own when she was 15 years old. Josie is working on rebranding herself as an artist and has a streamline of releases planned starting in Summer of 2024.
